Phuket Tourism in Korean Road Show

Korea is one of the main tourist markets for Phuket and the Andaman provinces. During April 26-30th, a group of 38 delegates from Thailand comprising tourism entrepreneurs, hoteliers, golf and spa operators from Phuket, Pattaya and Chiang Mai, plus members of Phuket Tourist Association or PTA, went to Seoul and Busan to meet travel agents to attract Koreans to Phuket and the Andaman region. The road show was held by TAT Korea to provide a platform for tourism operators to meet with clients or buyers as well as to explain and confirm the normal atmosphere in Phuket. In addition, the delegates could also learn about Koreans travel tastes. During the demonstrations in Bangkok, the Republic of Korea issued travel advice against Thailand at their rate of 2 on a scale of 1-4. That resulted in 90% of bookings being cancelled for Bangkok & Pattaya while the cancellations for Phuket were only about 5%. The road show, which was led by the Phuket Provincial Administration Organization or PPAO's CEO Paiboon Upatising and PTA president Somboon Jirayus, stressed on sustainable tourism for major groups of honeymooners, golfers, families and individuals plus students. The Korean honeymooners usually travel during April - June while golfers prefer November - February. According to Thai Airways' Manager in Korea, Taweeroj Songkampol, the airline's research study indicated that 50% of the Korean population prefer to travel in group tours. Special ASEAN Tourism Young Ambassadors meet in Phuket, including Sukko Spa

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN Tourism Ambassadors young people from 10 different countries came to visit Phuket and Spa Sukko variety of activities, on Monday January 19. Travel to Thailand for medical tourism

In the United States and Europe, specialized medical procedures tend to be very expensive. For this reason, medical tourism is becoming an increasingly popular trend in the Western world.
